Interior/Exterior Gonna fix up my car, NEED HELP!
Gonna fix up my car, NEED HELP!
Ok so let me start off with the info...
I bought a 2008 Astro Black Cooper S Hardtop... (black roof too)
Modding wise, all i have done is tint my car, and replace the ruler sized antenna for a 2incher.
Now its time for me to do some relatively minor exterior/interior fixes
OK so this is my first mini... I love everything about it (except i got stuck with starfish rims that i don't like too much)... but its time to make it unique...
So here is what i want...
a) change my roof to red
b) change the side view mirrors to red
c) change the gauge to be red
d) change rims to a newer and better looking black style (maybe/maybe not with a red trim on it)
e) there is this poster in NAM called lava who lives in NJ that came up with a very cool design that i wanna kinda use (shhh) ... he has a red mini with off center black stripes... so i was hoping to do the same but reversed. An astro black mini with red off center stripes then on the red roof, black off center stripes and so on... I live in LA, so id assume he wouldnt mind or even see it...
My insperation
I saw this mini (an older one) that was a different black then mine but still nice... he changed the roof to red and has two red stripes on the front... his rims were still silver but he painted his brake red... after looking at NAM forever i also got other insperations... and thats what made me end up with the above exterior/interior fixes...
I'm very new to modding and i was hopping people can tell me how to do such mods and where to go and how much on average and ESPECIALLY WHAT RIMS TO GET... Also i always enjoy criticism and i wouldn't mind some advice ... or things i shouldn't do or i should do (I dont want my car to look like a ricer or a racer)...
P.S. I live in LA so if there is a Los Angeles poster who knows good shops... please let me know... :D
-Thanks everyone

I would try to find an auto body shop in your area with a good rep and get a quote on all the paint. None of that stuff should be that hard for them to do. Just make sure you do it all the red at one time. If you don't there is a greater chance that the color won't match perfectly. As for rims I suggest going to some of the wheel and tire websites like tire rack and see what looks go to you. If performance means anything to you lighter is almost always better when it comes to rims.
