Marty's injuries :[
Thanks to everyone for the wonderful card sent to dad, along with the good thoughts and prayers, he really appreciated them. He is doing a lot better, thankfully he is faring better than Martin.
Marty incurred some severe damage. Mom and I went to see him yesterday, and took some pictures. We don't know anything about his prognosis; all I know is that he looks pretty bad. The sturdiness of these little cars is amazing though. The body of the car is little twisted, but for the most part he held sturdy and protected Dad. We don't know if he is totaled out, or if he can be rebuilt, but odds don't look to be in Marty's favor. We don't yet know what our family's MINI future holds.

Hopefully these pictures will work- I've never used Flickr before:/

Wow looks like it took some real suspension damage and if like you said the car is twisted (as in frame) I would guess totaled.
Even just that sort of suspension damage it could very well be totaled.
Best of luck and like we said before you will always be a EIM member with or without a MINI ...
Take care and hopefully your dad fully recovers (the real important part in all of this)

It's tough seeing those pictures of Marty with all of his ouchies, but we're all sure glad he did such a great job of protecting your Dad.
What Brian said.
You guys are EIM plankowners -- in for good. Hope to see you all again soon!

RIP Marty...he will be missed. He always had the whitest, cleanest wheels I've ever seen.
We'll always remember him as he was in his prime...

Marty
Saw the pictures... We missed you at Granite City. REDMINI was the only Chili Red there. Heard you are looking for a replacement. Good luck on that. Our condolences to "Marty", may the parts find a good donor home.
