I just purchased a 2003 Mini this weekend. I love it. I noticed that when I lock the car the small red light in the center on top of the dash does not blink. I tried finding this light in the manual but no luck. To my surprise it really does not say much at all about the anti theft system. Can anyone help me solve this? I fthere is any thing to solve....

It's not a light. It's the UV sensor for the AC system.
This is in the '10 idiosynchrocies about your MINI' little pamphlet in with the owner's manual.

If you had the alarm, you'd have a lighted wiper stalk.
