Hi guys, I drive a 05 mcs and I was wondering if anyone has a broadway mirror. The reason I ask is that it states that the mirrors are only good for ones no more than 80mm. I measured my mirror and it is just over that mark by a few mm. Has anyone put one on an 05? Is there an alternative brand that fits?

 

I have one on my 03 MCS. If I recall mine is a 270mm convex.

I know the rearview mirror grew after the 03 models, but it couldn't be by that much.

At what points did you measure your rearview? The broadways use 2 spring loaded pressure points to connect to the cars rearview mirror. i think the points are ~3 or 4 inches apart from each other.

 

I measured an inch or 2 from the center. From that point it measures just under 85mm. Broadway mirrors say that it fits up to 80mm. Just wondering if anyone fit one cause the place that sells them here do by do returns or exchanges. I don't want to waste my money if it doesn't fit.

EDIT

So I purchased one and it fits, but it doesn't cover the OEM mirror completely. Looks a little weird, but when I took it off, I couldn't drive the the OEM mirror. Guess I'll have to live with it. Will post pics when I get a chance.

ouch..sorry i didnt post here earlier..(i check threads/posts only here and there..)
but i got one and yeah..like you said in your edit..it's too small..
not from side to side..but from top to bottom..it really bothered me so i gave it to my gf's brother..
i really would like one that fits though..as i used it for pretty much all the other years i've been driving..before the mini that is..
i like it so much that i even used one in a rent-a-car..(forgot to get it before returning the car tho...)

oh and if anyone else knows of any other well made mirrors that's a bit wider? from top to bottom..please let me know
