OEM black grille question

hi, I have a black MCS 2006 and i have chrome grills on it. I wanted to give it a good look and was looking at putting the OEM Aero Kit black grille. However, i noticed it was hard to install the the bumper grille. Thus, I was wondering if it'd look weird just to install the the black grille and not the bumper grille. It's easy to install the black grille by myself right? thanks a lot

Well this is what my car looks like now. It's the same as based on your description.

I haven't done the middle (bumper) grill yet because it's so darn cold outside. I bought a dremel tool and I'm prepared to work on it as soon as it gets a bit warmer. Good luck.

Some people paint the middle grille's edge black with Plasti-dip. Leaving only the one slat in body color alone. As opposed to leaving it all alone and having the chrome edge.

You could do what I am doing and save up for the M7 ultimate grille.

I put 'black out tape' on my grille.... so easy, even a caveman could do it

IMHO using black-out tape on the upper and middle grilles is a better solution than just installing the aero upper grille... to me, that just looks obviously unfinished... the middle grille really isn't THAT bad to install...
