I am looking for more functionality out of my Head Unit. I know that I will need the HK Enabler to hook up to my HK system. I'm not changing the speakers or amp. I was curious at to see what models and manufacturers you guys have used for your HU upgrade.

The functions I'm looking for are: Enhanced iPod interface, Sirius, possible nav/flip up screen. I'd also like the unit to have the MFSW hook-up and will probably use the adapter for this from newministuff.com

So what HU's have you used and which ones are a better fit for my '08 MCSC

 

When I did GPMINI, Alpine was by far the best iPod interface - but likely by now, there are more options. My Alpine also has Sirius, and wired MFSW interface (I got the no-longer-made 9857).

 

I'm looking at the iDA-x305 from Alpine. I guess once I decide on the HU, I should go to newministuff and get the wiring I'd need for MFSW.

Also, How do people usually route the wire for Sirius antenna?
