Well getting a look back in the control area isnt particularly difficult. I would start there.

Always check fuses first, it doesn't take long.

Doh, guess I was too busy laughing my *** off at the prospect of having enough bass to actually break the electronics in your car. According to Bentley the relevant fuses are:

F5: Instruments
F9: Instruments
F14: General Module (BC1); Interior lights
F21: Instruments
F29: Air-conditioning control panel
F30: Instruments
F40: Instruments; front console switch panel; steering angle sensor.

So start with that.

I seem to recall you had talked about relocating the a/c controls so you could put an LCD screen in it's place. Did you? Any relocated, extended, cut, or soldered wires could have upset the balance of the circuit and caused the fuse to blow. Just an idea.

i did extend wires, that could be the problem, but its been about 6 months and this is the first time a fuse blew. might have had the air on + bass and the voltage may have dropped a little too low

oh well, all is good, replaced the blown 5A fuse with a new 40A

jk, hahahahhaha

popped another fuse today and a/c controls went out. replaced it and its fine. it only seems to happen if i have the a/c on full blast, and the bass on full blast as well. i dont think itll happen when i get some more batteries to help with the voltage.
