Well everyone I just found out I am now officially among the unemployed. Well leave of absense as the company has put it. I will have to find out about unemployment benefits tomorrow, but for now myself and a few others have a 12 week vacation. If things pick up then they will call us back.

So if everyone could please keep you fingers crossed for me, hopefully this won't last long.

I once went 15 months, (went back to school so I didn't go bonkers); remember you only need ONE, that's just one job--it's out there, in the meantime, keep busy and we'll all keep you in our hearts and thoughts...

Considering the Amount of MINI owners here in NAM losing their jobs it would be great if there was somepalce in here for those recently unemployed to post some credentiials for work......

My best advice would be to spend the paid time you have wisely and re-invent yourself ~ And just maybe in 12 weeks you can tell your boss you don't need the crummy job anymore.....I am afraid our world as we knew it is no longer....and, WE are IN for "Change".......

Sorry for your news. Welcome to the ranks. The sooner you get the unemployment claim in the better. They had been very backed up when I filed mine, but that was back in August and they have added some more phone lines and servers for on-line filing, as well as some more people.

So sorry to hear that you were laid off. I went through a "Reduction in Force" way in the way back (when Reagan came into office). I applied for unemployment benefits and started a new career. If you need to get away....you know there's a bedroom available at our house in the mountains where you are welcome to comne and make a few mountain runs to clear your head (I will try my best to spoil you).
