First Aid Kit Location (08 & 09)

Let me ask you folks in Europe this question. The owners manual for the 08 & 09 Mini says that the First Aid Kit is on or behind the indentation to the left of the boot. It even shows a box sitting there. Can any of you tell me where it really is located. The older Minis seem to have it behind the panal on the left side.

Thanks Matty. I remember them being required from when I was stationed in Germany, which was a long time ago. Does it just sit there or is it attached some way? I hope the one I just ordered looks like yours.

Maggie's kit is behind a panel in the same location as matty125's. Once I'm back home from Poland, I'll post a snap but mine looks different and I don't remember exactly how.

Cheers!!

Please note this is a Hard Top also, my 08 cabrio is in a different place.....I think and its a different shape.
The bag is held in place by very super strong velcro, Thew cargo net actually does not touch it as it appears in the pic.
I can get the bag, loaded, and the triangle and mounts for about 30 euros from Krauth BMW here.

There must be several types of these kits. Mine arrived today and is "L' shaped with velcro on the back. It sits in the cubby just like yours.

Well that must be why it is a tad large for the cubby. At least it was not a kit for the Clasic which is what I was afraid of. The site did not explain things very well. Perhaps I can get the correct one at some point. Thanks for the information as it is very hard to figure this out.

Where did you order the first aid kit from? I bought my mini in Germany, and I have the first aid kit in my left handed side of my boot, along with the warning triangle on the shelf in the back.. I also own an 08 MC... here in the US.. without the first aid kit.. so I would like to get another one.. if all goes well with the Army gods we will be heading back to Germany soon, and I really don't want one of those bright green first aid kits you can buy at the px

I got it from New Mini Stuff dot Com. At first there was only one available (pictured) so I took a chance and ordered it. A couple of days latter another one showed up on their site called a "2nd Generation First Aid Kit" (No picture). When mine arrived it looked nothing like the one pictured si I guessed it was the correct one. Now I am told it is actually the one for an R52, but it fits. Perhaps I'll find the correct one some day.
