Rain or Shine
Begin congregating between 1:00 and 2:00 at Pumpkintown Mountain Store, Pickens SC on Hwy 11 (Near the Hwy 8 & Hwy 11 junction)

Leave Pumpkintown Mountain Store at 2:00
Motor down Hwy ll to Hwy 178 up thru Rocky Bottom to Rosman
Across 64 to Brevard
Down 276 stopping briefly at Caesar's Head
back to Greenville for dinner at Joes Crab Shack, Greenville SC
No set time for dinner, we'll just get there when we get there.

This is going to be a SLOW, SEDATE drive to take in the beautiful Fall scenery and relax after a weeks worth of hurry-scurry at work. Those of you who desire to see how fast you can make it back to Greenville are welcome to leave 30 minutes before our scheduled departure time.

okay mrs. navigation can the rest of us that also have navigation get the exact address for me to input into my personal locating device to find 'Pumpkintown Mountain Store?'

thanks! as far as it stands right now, i'll be there! might be bringing along a new girl with me, but nothing's definite yet - wish me luck! haha....

almost forgot - the menu's trainman included have both a lunch and dinner menu, can we chose EITHER a lunch or dinner menu? if we wanted a lunch menu item, and its NOT lunch anymore, can we still get it, is what i'm asking.... thanks in advance!

OK all you other Navigators out there... the street address is

Pumkintown Mountain
3414 Highway 11
Pickens SC 29671
Phone 864-836-8141 (for you non-nav's who get lost and don't want to stop and
ask directions)

It's a large 2-story wood building. Great food too. It's within a few miles of Aunt Sue's and Table Rock State Park.

Hey, I like Latino's... My wife was watching I Love Lucy reruns (like she usually does) and it just came out.. Yes, we need to know what people are interested in so we can narrow down the menu to 5 or 6 items for a discount..

hey, don't try and dig yourself out of this hole, trainman!! you've already done the damage, now your just trying to sweep it under the rug!

J/k.... i'm not THAT sensitive! i mean hell, all the people i work with at the shop are good ol' country white guys that pick on me all day everyday as it is.... they just think its funny whenever i try and show off my southern accent, like today when i said something like 'whatd hell yuu wont, boy?' pretty funny stuff...

count me in, i've marked it on my cell phone's calendar!

Well, I just had to post and see if I hit second gear... Besides, I just edited LJ out of my signature picture and wanted to see how it looks.
Besides, Fastlane, I'm still trying to dig out of my hole!! Like you're "southern accent!"

Well, you hit 2nd gear at 51 posts....
BTW we need a head count and menu choices by Monday or Tuesday of next week (Oct 6 or 7) for Joe's so Mrs. Trainman can make the arrangements..

Do we have any more headcount for this?
From the forum it looks like just Tweety, Trainman, Fastlane and myself.

Any more info?

Enjoy

I wish I could join you, but the in-laws are coming for the weekend - I think we are shopping for furniture. I'd rather shop for some curves in the MCS, but maybe next time. Have fun.

As far as I can tell, we have Mr. & Mrs. Trainman, Mr. & Mrs. Tweety's Mom, Frogguts and fiance, FastLaneTuning, and possibly Melindalou. I'll send email and see if I've missed anyone.

You'd really wanna go watch the Tigers get beat by Virginia for the third year in a row?? Personally, I think I'd rather be motoring.
