Party!! Garage Day & Detail Day
Ok, my other car club http://www.rmcb5.com well, we get together quite often for garage days, help each other work on cars, get projects done, and hang out all day. I would like to start inviting all you folks as well...since YOU GUYS ROCK!!! The other thing is, the founder of RMCB5 and I almost share the same birthday in October, he is only 28 hours older than me...so here is the tentative plan
Saturday, October 18th...Garage day. We might be doing a couple of suspensions...Audi, Passat. Also, anyone needing to work on other projects is welcome. I have a decent sized garage, bright, heated, clean....and as Spicoli said on "Fast Times at Ridgemont High"..."I got a b*&@#in set of tools!!!" hehehe
I might have my intake by then to put in, and if nothing else, I think I have narrowed down my roof graphic and might install that during this event.
Saturday Night, October 18th. We will all go out for eats if we don't end up doing a BBQ here. I make a mean baby back rib with my own homemade BBQ sauce. Everyone I have met has told me they are the absolute best ribs they have ever had. We turn this into a Pot luck...I cook the ribs...everyone else provides drinks and other food to share..last time...6 racks of ribs were gone in less than 30 minutes. Sheesh...watch your fingers.
Sunday, October 19th...Detail day again at my house. Several of us have random orbit buffers and detail supplies. We get together about 3 to 4 times per year and clean/buff/wax our cars...time to get them ready for the winter. We are good at getting out small swirls from months of abuse. Makes for a good time. Bring any detail supplies you might have, and if you want suggestions on what to get before you head over, let me know. We can usually get 8 to 12 cars done per day...so let me know if you are in...we can't do all the cars in one day.
Well, there it is, anyone interested, post here, I can give you more details, and I will PM or email you my address so you can mapquest it and come over for the celebration!!!
cheers

Mark...hehehe, not sure if we are going to the nudy bars or not. M0re than likely, it will just be a gathering at my house for good food, drinks, and fun.
I live in Westminster...near 104th and US 36...just south of where the Westminster AMC 24 is. That area. You are welcome to come on over. I also started a thread at http://www.rmcb5.com ...and intrest has been sparked. It should be a good turnout. Everyone is welcome...

sounds like a really great idea. not sure about the timing/day, but is definately the kind of thing i'd be interested in.
that is, if.....
you don't mind that fact that i'm 30 and a total care care/maintenance newbie! i shudder to admint this, but i've had my MCS since 4/24/03, and i haven't waxed it once.
go on, let the tongue lashings commence...

Hi Jon,
Can't make it as that is 24hrs of Moab weekend, but my BRG MCS needs it! On another note, I am going to host a last-minute drive from Boulder to Nederland, lunch at I&I Caribbean Cafe in Ned, on to Brainerd Lake, and back down Lefthand Canyon THIS THURSDAY OCT 2 around noon. Here's the thread
Also, any expert mtn bikers out there -- we need another teammate for 24hrs of Moab!

Sockdaddy...DUDE, get some wax on wax off action going with yourself. Hopefully you can make it and we can give your car the attention it deserves. I will be happy to help...everyone is welcome, regardless of experience.
Chris, good luck in Moab. I have been out there for it in the past, I have an old college room mate that has done it many times..and I believe he has won it a few as well. His name is Travis Brown...cool guy, but I have not been in contact with him for a very long time.
I might be up for the drive on Thursday...I will let you know.
cheers

Yeah, that is what everyone is telling me, and I have a couple of people offering to buy me a "dance" or 2. No problem if you can't make the evening events...but come on over for garage day, BBQ or detail day.
