I order chrome mirrors from the dealer for my new MCS. I took delivery of the car before the mirrors came in, so I had the dealer ship them to me.

It appears that you have to pop out the white portion of the side mirrors and then pop on the chrome mirrors. The only problem is, how do you pop off the white portion of the mirrors. I don't want to force it and break it. (no instruction came with the mirrors)

I called the dealer to ask how to do it and they told me I was the first one to order the chrome mirrors so they weren't sure.

Has anyone installed them? or knows how to do it?

Thanks

I am having my dealer replace the factory white mirror caps with the chromed ones as soon as my '04 MCS arrives to the dealer within the next few days. I've read that all you need is a flat screw driver to pop put the factory covers. I rather let the dealer do it just in case. Besides they waived the installation charge so I am just paying ($123) for the parts.

they will also be installing the 3 slats MCS chrome front grille. As you may have realized by now, I am a sucker for chrome

If you give me a few days, I can find out for you how it is done.

I did, I did!!

 I used my nails to lift the bottom part of the mirror cover closest to the body, and then stuck a key in there, and moved the key slowly to the side away from the body lifting the cover. It eventually popped off. It's putting the chrome ones back on that's the hard part, but I think once you see the inside structure, you'll figure it out.

Motor On!
