I have a 2005 mcs with the sunroof and I need to remove the little piece in the roof that has the two reading lamps and the airbag warning on it. It's in between the rear view mirror and the sunroof controls. I tried pulling on it and using a screw driver to wedge it but it wasn't going anywhere. I've got a buzz up in there that I need to fix!

Anyone know? Thanks for your help!

Don't know if you've solved your buzzing problem or not yet but this piece comes off easily - just removed it in mine.

Push the entire unit toward the windshield and then pull down. You'll see two hooks that extend over the headliner where it is installed. Push it far enough forward for the hooks to clear the edge of the cutout in the headliner where it is installed and pull down. Then just pull the rest of the unit toward the back of the car. Easy-peazy.
