Alta guages

Alta water temp and boost guages successfully installed. I can't figure out why the guages are not always on. It seems when the automatic headlights are on, the guages will only work if the headlights are on. If you switch the lights to the on position the guages work. Any suggestions to make the guages work all the time?

sounds like you miss-connected a wire... check the directions for the orange and white wires. did you tap the right one in the console?

Sounds like you connected to the wrong wire.

The automatic headlights are not part of the switched light circuit, so if you tapped that as your source of power you will only get power when you switch on the circuit. Odd logic, but for some reason the ECU does not power up the circuit when in Auto mode.

This thread has a good reference for switched power, and constant power, I used to wire in my gauges.
