I'm sort of reluctant to bring this up, as it seems that these kinds of posts often lead to flames...but I just (yesterday) picked up my ordered MCS from Habberstad MINI in Huntington Station Long Island and was told by the sales person that they had (I forget the exactly number) about 25 cars available on the lot...and at least 12 S models. I asked if these were being sold at MSRP, and the answer was YES.

Folks, all I can tell you is that I purchased my car from them and it was totally hassle free (aside from waiting for 2 months) and delivered at 100% the price originally formulated on the MINIUSA site plus $30 for state inspection and documentation. No push for floor mats, pinstriping, or any of the other add-ons that I hear/read about others experiencing. If they told me that the cars were being sold at MSRP, I have no reason to believe otherwise.

These are all 2002 models (obviously) and the seem to have a full range of cars with various packages (sport, premium, combinations, etc.).

BTW, I did my entire purchase over the phone...only showing up to actually fork over the money and drive away the car. Huntington is very central to all Northeast points so you could drive in as I did or fly to LGA or JFK (each are about 20 - 30 miles away).

I also bought my MCS from Mike at Habberstad. Ditto the whole deal. No hassle, no nonsense. I recommend Habberstad Mini highly. :smile:
