Anyone here running cooper on Koni FSD

As the title says, any feedback as in ride comfort to spirited driving,I also heard they raise the car up a bit.I'm planning on installing on stock springs, any feedback would be welcome. Peter

I've installed them on a couple customers cars with stock springs and the cars rode very well. A little firmer than stock but not bad.

We have it on my wife's '05 MCc. Nice improvement in overall ride quality, would recommend it.

Edit: Didn't notice any increase in ride height. Our MCc is bone stock. Removed the 'harshness' over bumps, and still tightens up under spirited driving.

The FSD is not a gas-pressurized shock like a Bilstein, and will not raise the car. Ride is greatly improved, handling slightly better due to keeping the tire in better contact with rough roads..

I have them and they are a great upgrade. Ride is more comfortable and handling is an improvement. Very noticeable on the track. My favorite upgrade.

I have installed them on my 2005, they do raise your car about 1/2" Ride is much better, handling much better when its pushed.

Can't say whether they would raise the car at all, since I had them put on simultaneously with JCW springs for my Cooper, which lower very slightly (about 1/2 in.). Even with the somewhat stiffer JCW springs, the FSDs were at least as comfortable as the stock MC setup, with a bit of an improvement in handling. Very nice.

I had them installed at Bay Bridge Motors about a month ago. I had HRs with stock previously. Did raise the car slightly, but the overall ride and handling is MUCH better...well worth the additional height....go for it

Well all the feed back on these things seem to be great,my goal is to create an excellent handling car while retaining comfort levels as good as stock,a little ride height is of no concern to me as it's my daily driver and we have pot holes too but lots of good twisty roads as well,it's difficult to have your cake and eat it too as they say so it will be interesting to see how it turns out.So here's where i'm going and will post an update when it's all done in the new year.I have mushrooming towers and will fix and install IE adjustable camber plates with M7 STB's thats when the FSD's go in on the stock springs and also installing a H Sport 19mm sway bar,Powerflex bushings on the engine and gearbox. The car is on Bridgestone Potenza G111 but will switch to the new Dunlop Dizerra when i've scrubbed some more rubber off the Potenzas. If the camber plates turn out to be noisy i'll sell them and replace with IE fixed ones,i went that route to get the camber equal on both sides.Unfortunatley i'll never know which mod i liked best as it's all being done at once.Happy New Year all.
