modifying the shift ****

has anyone been able to take the top of the OEM shift **** off to change out the white numbers? Wondering if it is even removable or all one piece.

You can pry the chrome bezel off of the ****, but I can't see any way to get at the printed shift pattern.

Yea, you can pry it off but be very careful. I outlined the **** in tape & still gouged it. I did get a union jack **** topper to install in place of the factory, but the **** got gouged so I just purchased a factory **** & left it alone. was not a good experience. There is just not a lot of room between the topper & the ****. It is a very tight fit.
