Looking for a cheap set of swift springs
Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone knows where I can get a set of swift springs to replace the BC Springs at all? I want to do the front and back. Also Should i stick with the same rate for mainly street driving and occasional track work? Finally what is the length and inside diameter of the spring on the BC Coilover spring so as to know what swift springs I need to get. Thanks for your help in advance
Let me know.
Stephen

Swift and cheap really don't go together, however, a good source in the US is Evasive Motorsports. That's who I got mine from and they were nice to work with. TSW I think also carries them if you want a MINI-specific / NAM vendor.
You'll want 152mm long front and 178mm long rear, both 65mm [the gold ones]. A good starting point for a standard weight R53 is 8kg/mm front and 6kg/mm rear. I run 7kg/mm front and 5kg/mm rear on my lightened [2295lbs] R53 and those rates work excellent for both open and tight tracks.
Cheers,
Ryan
