Wondering if anyone knows if you have to program both remotes/keys separately or can they be programmed simultaneously?

Basically, I want both remotes to act the same with regards to what can be programmed separately and I'm lazy! So it would be nice if I could do both at the same time.

You have to do both separately. The car will only recognize one fob at a time. Sorry.

Wonder how it knows which one to use if the driver and passenger both have a key? It seems to know inside vs outside, but can it discern from which side the key is approaching? Curious..
