Should I use HYDRO on my vinyl graphics?
Should I use HYDRO on my vinyl graphics?
I've ordered a vinyl roof graphic and have vinyl stripes. Will Hydro work for protecting them? I've heard 303 Aerospace works well, but if Hydro works too, I won't bother buying something else. I love my hydro.
Hydro should work beautifully.
I'd just let the new graphic dry for at least 48hrs before applying
hydro just in case there's some solution near the edge of the
vinyl while it dries. dont want it to pull up later on.

I agree with Ken. Since appying my Union Jack roof graphic last fall, I have been using Hydro on it every week or two. It looks great. No build-up around the edges, and graphic & open parts of roof shine very nicely.

Indeed, Hydro is appropriate, safe and a great choice for protecting vinyl graphics.
Yes, 303 Aerospace Protectant protects vinyl graphics too, but won't last as long and is a separate product (read: it's easier to use 1 product on all of your exterior areas instead of 2!)
Hydro can be used on paint, vinyl graphics, glass and chrome, which is part of why it is such a popular choice.

A bit of an old thread here... but hoping someone can help me out... Where does one pick up said Hydro? I'll be getting a Checkered Roof installed in a few weeks, and I want it to last and look good for a LONG time. Looking for the best deal
I always order mine direct from Detailer's Paradise. Note their site is having some technical difficulties right now. They also provide a list of retailers.
I'm using Hydro and Banana Gas on our patio table

on top of all that 303 on your paint looks bad. It will leave a film. On the other hand Hydro look good on your paint.
So Mark - was that wood finished with varnish or something prior to the BG/Hydro treatment?

Jim,
Many years back I had an all-black 318is. It was old but in good shape. One day I decided to Armor All the dash, I'd never done that before. It looked great. A week later when the sun hit I ended with a giant crack along the dash. Could've been coincidence, but given the age of the car and the fact that I'd never had problems before, I'd have to attribute it to the Armor All.
IMHO I'd avoid it, along with anything else that's silicone based.

HMMMmmmMMmmmmm...

If there isn't one already, maybe we should start a thread on non-automotive uses for Prima products! I think I read Hydro was good for shower doors maybe? Or was that 303? Never mind, off to find that other thread...
