Brand new 2009 MINI Cooper S!

Hi everyone, my new Mini Cooper S. 2009 has arrived and I will be picking it up this Saturday. As many of you know, I traded in my Clubman for a new 2009. I had many issues with the Clubman. My first Mini was in 2006 but sold that one to get the disasterous Clubman which I was totally unhappy with..maybe I should have just kept my 2006 or maybe I just regretted selling the 2006, so hopefully the 2009 will be just a reincarnation of the 2006.

I will be taking many pictures when the new baby is in my hands. I also decided to go against the Mini Navigator and get the Mini Garmin portable instead which is easier for me to handle and operate. They will install the Mini Garmin in the car.

I look forward to showing off the new Mini very soon.

p.s. pictures of my 2006 and Clubman are in my pictures section of the forum.

stay tuned....

I've had my 09 since late september, and it's been great. I just finished the 2k break-in period, but no problems so far! Okay, maybe the break-in period is 1200, but I'm being cautious.

...I purchased an 08 Jetta Wolfsburg in April, and VW ended up repurchasing the car. It would stall regularly while stoping at lights, stop signs, etc. I didn't pay much attention to the break-in period with the Jetta, and while the problem was more then likely a manufacturing defect and nothing I did, I'm understandably more cautious now. Maybe that will help you be comfortable with your new MINI, too?

hello! I am new to the forum. Very happy to see that everyone is in love with their cars. It's a car like no other, and have waiting a long time to get a MINI. I just wanted to respond to your Garmin issue. My husband put in the Garmin after market for $400.00. The mount is on the right side and the attachment looks like it belongs in the car. I did NOT want the Garmin NUVI to be on the left. He is a MCGIVER and he put together a BEAUTIFUL set up. The website he got the mount is KUDAUSA. I believe the MINI sells it for about $700.00 on the order site. I have a new 09' and it works wonderful!

I am a righty, so I asked for the Navigator to be put on the right side and it's not going to be a problem. I did not like the joystick on the navigator in the clubby and I am more familiar with the Garmin anyway. It's way easier to operate.

I will be posting pictures of my new Mini when I pick it up next week.
Please stay tuned......

Jim, thanks!! I am hoping this will be my last Mini for a while. I heard we can get 300 grand on it, so I will take care of it like I always do.

Very nice, did you order the shift *** in wood or is it now included with the English Oak accents?

I will look for your pictures this weekend after you get your first 500 miles on the MINI.

Thank You! My 2006 was Royal Metallic Grey, but Mini said they no longer have that color anymore, so Dark Silver was the closest color to that. Tes the shift *** is in wood.

I will post pictures very soon

Hi there Corcoranwtnet! I am so excited that toolazyforalogin has the same mount I have. Check out the link in his post. It's a great mount, right hand view and it works GREAT. My husband is helping me through the forums so I don't mess up the threads. Hope this helps.

Thanks! I really wanted Royal Metallic Grey like I had on my 2006, but Dark Silver will have to do and it's the closest color to the grey.

I am getting the baby today..I will post pictures over the weekend or Monday the latest.

Cheers Bridgehorse..... I remember you from the Clubman boards. What happened to your car? I recall reading the initial QC problems you had with it but never knew about later issues that came up with it. We are still loving ours and has been rock solid so far.

Best of luck with the new '09!

Dan your '09 MCS looks fantastic and must be such a joy for you now that you finally have it

I like the Garmin nuvi GPS location in the interior shot and also the BEWARE OF DOG sign on your dash.

In fact I just picked up the same sign at my Mini dealership today from my MA.
