Can amber/red bumper stripes be replaced with clear?

I want to replace (if possible) the orange front and back red curved fender (not bumper-sorry about the title) stripes with clear. Is is difficult and where best to locate the parts? Also, does anyone have pictures?
Thanks

What "Stripes" are you talking about?

Do you mean the side marker lights?

If so i do not belelive any one is making them in clear yet. But there are some places that sell dark overlays to make them much closer to the black fender color.

Yes, the side fenders. I have seen a few pictures here and there with the clear but my searches have turned up very little.

Outmotoring.com has them.
You can also buy the european version fender flares newministuff.com which don't have the yellow and red reflectors, but are of questionable legality in the US and are an expensive solution.

Another option is to paint over with tinting paint:

Hope this helps.

The euro arches would be illegal....but so would the clear ones since they don't reflect.

As far as I know, no one has created the clear ones for the r56/55 like they did for the earlier models.

I just covered mine with Outmotoring.com overlays. Not bad for 20 bucks...

They also carry the USA version fender flares with side markers.

Side Reflectors

These are pretty bad, but they are the only ones I have that give a clear view of the refectors. Hopefully they give you an idea of how it would look.

Just so you know, the rear markers look black with the tint, and the fronts and VERY dark orange. They blend in pretty well!
