I currently have a Pioneer deck in my Mini - the DEH-P6800MP.



I've pulled the faceplate apart and applied spray tint to the back of the plastic pieces that carry the light through them to help solve the "burning bright" issue on everything from the dial left, and I'm very satisfied with how it looks. Mucho better, for sure. Prior to tint you could pretty much read by it at night - none of the controls or buttons dimmed with the brightness setting in the deck, only the display did.

I may pull it back apart to tint the clear screen that covers the LCD display, that is yet to be determined.

I'm debating getting the bluetooth module for this deck, the CD-BTB200, but I"m wondering if anyone has tried this setup in their Mini yet? Does anyone have any good or bad reviews on this? I imagine I would install the mic on the steering column - anyone have thoughts on this?

 

I don't have the exact same setup but I do have the pioneer 7000bt and it works very nicely for phone integration. I'm using an iphone which doesn't support streaming music through the deck but if the call control is any indication I would imagine it would be worthwhile upgrade to your existing unit.

I opted to put the included mic with mine on the steering column and haven't had any complaints yet. Hope this helps a little.
