JCW Lowered and getting close to completion...PICTURES

Hello All
Well we are getting close to completion on the Mini mods...I installed the H&R coil overs last night and got the adjustments where I want them.

First impressions of the H&R's...
NO body roll and very precise steering feel. The ride was not comprimised just a little stiffer but you can expect to give up a litte for the performance. The other thing I noticed is when you take off the car does not lift as much and the same under hard braking...good upgrade, very happy. Here are some shots of the past weeks mods.

We will paint the wheels black next week. The weekend project will include these items:
Factory Shift light
Boost Gauge
Boost tube
Black out belt line
Oil change

Put on at least 200 miles to complete break in.

Gorgeous car!! I love the wheels silver as they are, contrasting with the darker hues of the body and wheel arches. It would be a pity to paint them black so they loose that contrast and become almost invisible, IMHO. To each his own.

I do see what your saying....our other cars have black wheels and I just like the stealthy look....these are one of the first factory wheels I have even had on a car that I don't want to change.

I like it! I'm not a huge fan of the glossy arches, though.

How about some pics on a hard surface so we can really see how low you've gone?

Going to take some fresh photos this weekend..busy in the office and been working late in the shop...mostly because of the Mini..funny I am not a fan of plastic unpainted finished on any car. The Corvette has some of the same problems...its a big part of our business. I think its due more to cost cutting than style....of course its only my opinion and thats what makes mods so great...no two the same

Black rims would really go well with your car.
Still looks amazing though! Looks like a nice drop.

I think black rims would take away from the car, expecially since the arches are painted that glossy black. its lookin good :tu:

yes, can't wait to see on pavement, but I can tell from even grass height that that is low. I have same JCW, same colors just racing stripes down center of hood and back hatch. I live on Long island and travel to city, so not sure if I would ever lower mine (potholes) but awesome! I still have to tint my windows and put CD changer in. I also like no front plate. I like the side vent as well. I went for factory side scuttles...
The wheel well arches you had professionally done?...and chrome black out around lights?

Good old LI....my home town..Bethpage, I will be doing a road trip the forst week of December. Going to Boston,NH and then to LI. Driving the Mini

We have a custom paint & Performance shop and I do all the paint work myself. We will be a vendor here in the next couple of weeks.

How many miles do you have...I break them in hard...always did. I dont pass 5K for the first 250 miles then let her rip...your going to like what you feel to red line. Doing first oil change tonight. I have 375 miles as of today and we just got back from some back road romping....FUN
