We've been asked by Hendrick Mini to again help out at the Auto Show by staffing the display and doing what we all love to do, answer questions about Minis. Dana has sent me a schedule for us to sign up on. They'll provide admission as exhibitor and shirts for the show. It looks like parking is not in the budget at this time. You're free to roam outside your tour of duty.
The shifts will be: on Thursday and Friday Noon - 3:00, 3:00 - 6:00, and 6:00 - 10:00 on ; then on Saturday 10:00 - 2:00, 2:00 - 6:00, 6:00 - 10:00 : then on Sunday 10:00 - 2:00, 2:00 - 6:00.
If we can get 2 people or more per shift it makes it easier on everybody plus you have someone to talk to when no one is drooling on the cars.

I'd like to sign up for Sat. 2-6.

I did this last year it was great fun. For any of our new members, you don't need to be an expert. We just show up and give people a sense of why we enjoy our cars so much, and answer whatever questions we can. We will likely be the only club group working a display and the atmosphere is noticibly more fun.

I was a booth babe one year and rec'd a GREAT grab bag for doing so, along with the added benefit of looking so good in heels and a mini skirt--oh wait, that was the girl at the Audi booth next door. ;-)

Seriously, if you haven't done it, you should, it's a blast!

 

I am on back up call that weekend, but I should be able to help -- that is if I could leave at a moments notice and not cause a catastrophe.

I will be available Thursday and will probably help them get the cars down and set up. Start me at noon to 3 and if you can't find anyone else I will do it.

I can help get cars to the show Thurs. and I can also work the show on Thurs. I can work Noon to 3:00 or 6:00 to 10:00 whichever I am needed, but prefer Noon to 3:00. Sign me up and I will keep a watch to see what time.

 

If nobody else signs up, I'll help Luke Thursday evening. I stopped by the dealership today and offered to help move cars (Wednesday). Sounds like FUN!

Dana just called me. Myself and Tim Shue will be available wednesday to move cars to the Convention center. We need to be at Hendrick between 10:15 and 10:30 tomorrow morning and we need at least 2 more volunteers, please call Dana if you can help.

 

I assume we need to go by Hendrick MINI and pick up our shirts again this year. Is that correct? Are they ready yet?

I spoke to Dana and she said the shirts for the Thurs./Friday people are at the dealership. The shirts for Sat/Sun will be in on Thursday. You need to pick up your shirt at the dealership and get a signed business card as well. You will need to present the business card at the check-in room for workers at the show in order to get your badge for entry.
