Need to sell my MCS 2008

And I would love some opinions on what a fair selling price would be. The car has plenty of extras:

DCS
LSD
Tan leather
Sunroof/stereo upgrade
chromeline interior
xexon headlights
anthracite headliner

I paid 28,800 for it in January and hate to let it go, but my financial circumstances have changed. I know that the Mini hold their value well, but how well. Thanks for your suggestions

Very nice car!

I know you're sick at letting that one go. I don't know the milage, but given less than 15K, I would think you could sell it quickly for 25K, or not quite so quickly for 26K.

Carmax will offer you the wholesale value. I would only go there if you have trouble selling it yourself.

I agree with that. 10-15% off the new price.

I would -NEVER- sell to CarMax. If you have trouble selling it yourself, go to local dealers and ask for their offer. Local dealers here have always outdone Carmax-especially if you have gone to Carmax and have an offer from them. And I truly believe that you have a very good chance of finding a buyer well above the offered CarMax price.

I think with a private sale you could get $23 to $25 and get it sold pretty quick; depending on the car's condition.

+1! It must be hard to let your Mini go, but im sure its in your best interest.

Best of luck selling!

I'm on the other end of the scale, I'm looking to buy a 07 or 08, and it seems like it is cheaper in some cases to buy new. All the used ones I have seen advertised are almost the same price as ordering a new one. Some of the used ones have more options(not packages)
I'm not sue what people are actually getting, but it seems like you will make out ok.

You list the options but you don't list the miles.

It appears that you expect to be paid for the options while not getting a hit for the miles.

Your answer can be obtained from KBB extrapolating the model year reduction from the previous year's KBB listing.

I have 7100 miles on the car and it's in perfect condition. It looks like the consensus is about 24-25K. It's true that I'm seeing used MINIs listed quite high, with features similar to mine. The upside to my MINI is that I don't see very many around with my color/interior leather choice. It might just entice someone enough who doesn't want to wait around.

thanks for the input
