Hmmm... so they didn't come up with a new snowboard carrier yet...

I bought the MINI branded snowboard attachment way back when, then realized that I didn't really like it. The Thule flat-top ski / snowboard carriers fit on the MINI roof rack load bars using parts that are in the box in a slightly non-standard way. I vastly prefer the Thule snowboard carrier to the MINI one.

I've used it on my 2003 Cooper. And I'm getting a roof rack for my 2007 Cooper S next week.

oh btw to answer mcsvcwriter on if its worth the install:

it really depends on how often you go snow boarding. i can understand if you go snow boarding 2 times a week or more. it also depends on the weather conditions too. i couldnt bring my mini cooper to sierra many times because of the road conditions. so i felt like i wasnt making the "most" out of the racks. but i do know that if i wanted to carry things on top of my mini, i can always buy a roof box or whatever its called. you know those things they use on roof racks for off road rigs. so all in all, i can say it is a good investment. i just wish i can use it more often thats all.

no pics, but i have a set of thule load bars on my car right now. I will be mounting a yakima powderhound on them.

Only reason I'm going with the yakima on my thule bars, is that the thule bars are cheaper, and the yakima offers a flat style snowboard rack that can tilt if you need it. Thule only offers those retarded tilted all the time racks. There's definitely not a lot of binding clearance when it comes to the mini roof rack.
