Was looking at hosting a run to Lake Lure, went up there today and had a blast! Colors are still there, but not for too much longer.

We will meet in Asheville at Beaucatcher Cinema on November 9th at 11am.

We will then take I-240 to US-74 out to Lake Lure, eat at Lakeside Pizza Pub and Grille, and then come back on US-9 and finish up in Black Mountain on I-40. It's only about 45-60min one way, so not too long.

Here's what the menu looks like:

Subs 8" Baked - Italian, Steak & Cheese, Meatball, Chicken Parm, Eggplant Parm, Turkey & Cheese, Ham & Cheese.
Burgers & Sandwitches - 1/4lb, 1/2lb, 1lb Double, Chicken Cord, Club, Chicken, Hot Dog.
MISC - Lasagna, Greek Salad, Chef Salad, 12oz HB Steak, Spaghetti, Wings.
App - Garlic Knots, Calzone, Bread Stix, House Salad, Fries, Onion Rings, Chips.
Pizza - White, Pepp, Beef, Onion, Sausage, X Sauce, G Pepp, Spin, Shroom, Jale, Tom, Arti, Anch, Pine, Ban Pepp, Garlic, Feta Cheese, X Cheese.

Prices range from $4-$12, pizza is from $9-$13.

I think the 9th is OK for me, too.

 

We're good for the 9th...we basically just did that run October 11th but it's such a great road wouldn't mind doing it again...in fact, I'll offer my home again for coffee to meet up for the run...we're right on the way to Lake Lure and even have a great road to get us there (Bat Cave, Chimney Rock, Lake Lure is just 10 minutes from our house).

 

So far I can do the 9th. Sounds like fun

Assuming my clubman is out of surgery for her broken sunroof, you know there is at least a MINI you could drive
