Track tire pressures for Z214
Track tire pressures for Z214
I just got a new set of Hankook Z214 C50 in 205/50/16 for a song from Frisby tire on closeout. They are my first set of R-compound tires for the track. I need some suggestions on where to start my pressures cold.
On my Yoko ES100 street tires at the track, I start at 34 all around and come up to 42 hot. Anyone have some data on where I should start the Z214's? Max pressure on the sidewall is 44 lbs I think, so I'm guessing 40-42 hot would be the right temp.
Thanks!
Aaron

32-33 psi worked great for me! These tires are super sticky and give nice feedback as you approach the limit of traction. Thanks everyone for great advice on these tires!
