Greetings All!
Bruce has asked me to coordinate our monthly breakfast meetings. The next breakfast meeting is scheduled for November 15 (3rd Sat) with the normal visit to Hendricks afterward.
For November, I have arranged for us to meet at the Americana Restaurant. The Americana is under new ownership and was previously in business as the Fireside Restaurant. It's on the Matthews-Mint Hill Rd just north of Independence Blvd. We can meet around 8, eat at 8:30 and be at Hendricks by 10.
If anyone has a good place to eat send me a PM and we can get your spot on the calendar.
I look forward to seeing everyone on the 4th at Wild Wings and on the 15th at the Americana.

Good choice since I have not eaten there since the change over and have been meaning to try it out. I have heard that it is very good. Count me in!

Not sure if I can make b/fast, we'll see. Took some toys down yesterday, the box is pretty empty and that's pretty sad. Let's see if we can all dig deep to make a kid happy this Holiday season...

I went out that direction yesterday and did not see The Americana Restaurant. Can I get exact address or a landmark that it is nearby. I saw Lowe's on the left and another small shopping center on the right coming off Independence and on Hwy 51. I rode out further towards Mint Hill and still did not see it.

Before you get to 74 and to turn into Lowes, there is a little cut-off to the left. That goes past Butler High School and runs into 74 but before you get to 74, the Americana is on the left across from the paint store. I think it is a Glidden Paint Store.

 

Last I saw, the weather was going to be pretty crappy tomorrow - is everyone still planning on coming out?

Sorry I missed the breakfast and hanging out at Hendrick. I did make the car show and the weather played a good part in the low turn out. Probably only 75-80 cars. I took people choice award for best EURO car. I was in with the saabs, volvo, jaguars etc. Don't for get the New International Car Show downtown, if you want to help plaese sign up. Also Saturday the Hendricks toys car show at the racing complex. I will be doing both. Luke
