Pics of chrome replacement hood scoop on a black MCS?

I seem to feel that the black hood scoop looks a little out of place on a black MCS.

I'm thinking of getting this chrome replacement scoop: http://new.minimania.com/web/Item/G2.../InvDetail.cfm

Does anyone have pics of this on a black car? Opinions welcome.

don't like the look of it, way too much chrome. And i'm pretty sure it could blind you on a sunny day. I'd go with Carbon Fiber personally, but I wouldn't have said anything unless you asked. Get whatever you want, its your car brother

I have a CF hood scoop and love it. I hardly ever see CF on Mini's, -mine gets tons of compliments.

Black looks out of place on a black car and putting a chrome hood scoop in the middle of the black hood DOESNT look out of place???

I don't think anything can look more out of place than putting a chrome hood scoop on a black hood. I think the chrome hoodscoops look very out of place and tacky.

Just my 2 cents...

Mojosan - Welcome to NAM. I responded to your post on FC. With the chromed mirrors, it might be too much, but it is up to you.

Weighted coin toss. Carbon fiber over chrome.

Either would be better than OEM in look. I lean for the carbon with the black.

Thanks Black Roadie, that's exactly what I was looking for.

Thanks for all the opinions. I'll do what I always do when it comes to a difficult styling decision.

I'll ask my wife what I should do.

Chrome on black looks perfect if you are not going to black out everything else.

Sometimes people don't like blacking out a car. I give it a
