Noise when taking off

Yesterday and more so today, something funny has been happening. For the first 30 minutes of my drive today (through the city) nothing was out of the ordinary. However I pulled up at a set of lights on a hill (came to a stop) and as I went to accelerate, a second after I was started moving I heard a clunk sound coming from the engine. Sounds like it came from just behind pedals, I could actual feel a slight thump when I heard it as well.

Anyway the car continued fine for 5 more minutes and had numerous stops and starts, nothing bad. As I came to a stop I heard it when I applied the breaks, just this one sound. Again when I accelerated. It did this around 16 times or so in the space of 25 minutes.

I am going to get my videocamera and see if I can get a clip.

Any ideas? Its an '06 R50.

PS I looked under the bonnet and everything seems to be in order, no loose intake, header, pipes. Nothing rubbing.

Exhaust hangers

Check the condition of the exhaust hangers aft of the fire wall underneath your car. It's a good bet that one or more of these hangers has failed.

Figured it out. Brace yourself for this one.

The, front left wheel... was loose. Took off my cover plate over the 4 lug bolts and one fell out. I was freaked out. Considering I was cruising down the road when the steering wheel goes A-wall and the car is vibrating like crazy. Note to self: bring tire jack and tools, resorting to sticks and stones aint fun.
