Eagles Canyon BMW club race 10-18&19 - 2008
Here is one of the videos from this past weekend. This one is from the second half of Sunday's enduro.
It was a new track to just about everyone, you had to learn in quickly.
I raced Saturday's sprint, qualified 5th, finished 3rd overall out of 12 cars.
On Sunday, Jason Aranha also qualified in 5th yet quickly passed a few cars at the start and worked up second and turned the car over to me during the pit stop in that position.
Unfortunately. I slipped back to third after a fun battle with Hunter's JP car.
All said, it was a fun weekend.

Was fun watching ya'll out there. We got a great spot up on the hill that overlooks turns 1 and 2. Can almost see the entire track from there except the back straight and the tunr 10 hollow.
I gather the front tires were giving up the ghost by the end of the end, looks like the car developed a push, hence the wheels off at 11 with a few laps left.
I was the one that said hello at the top of the stairs when you were looking for looking for race control.

Glad to see quite a few Minis at ECR this past weekend. Did you guys have any problems with Brakes?
As for our tires, yes they were losing grip fast towards the end.
Regards,
Steve
Yep, the Blue MINI...
Brake issues, no, for the most part none of us have brake issues at ECR any longer since we've installed the Texas Speedwerks Big Dirty Mother BBK. We did some brake temperature testing this weekend with the Genesis brake paint and found we are hitting the 1100-1300 degrees F range. Dripped some of the paint on the hat while applying and there was no color change showing they stay cool. Granted we only run a 25 min session and not an enduro, but ducting should keep the air moving enough prevent issues over an enduro length.

Man, it was GREAT to see that MINI pulling away from that e36 down the straights!!!
Y'all looked fast all weekend... You had one of the most entertaining battles to watch, for sure. We didn't think you'd get back around him after that slight off before the front straight, but when y'all crested the hill after 7 (on the track map, some consider it '9') you were back in front!
Excellent job...
As Nathan eluded, brakes weren't an issue for us...
