Need DIY for removing interior peices.

I've tried the search function and only found the way to remove the 3 piece plastic trims. (Start with the removing the tach, and it's pretty much yank and pull)

I'm doing this because I'm getting ready to paint the interior pieces to another color. I was wondering if there is a DIY (which I can't find) on removing the 2 pillar pieces of the center console and the plastic door pieces. Thanks.

The 2 pillar pieces come off after the dash parts by removing the 2 screws in each side and then sliding them up/down and out.
The door plastic parts are NOT removable, they are heat welded to the main door moulding, perhaps you could mask and paint.

the tach is not yank and pull. Lower the steering wheel all the way down, there's two bolts that hold the tach to the steering column, when you remove the tach you will need to unplug it too. Once it's off, there's screws on the back to remove and this will allow you to take it all apart for painting.

It could depend on how much time and work that he wants to put into it... I removed and painted my door trim, other than the y-shaped handle, by going behind and drilling out all of the plastic rivets. I then re-attached with silicone. A lot of time, however, I do believe that I got a much more even paint job, and didn't have to deal with all of that taping.

When removing the tach (unplugging), make sure the KEY is OFF! or else your lights stop working, and your odometer stops counting miles
