I'm going to have a coolant leak looked at by MINI and I'm wondering, if it needs repairs, does anyone know if would it be covered under an extended warranty? My '05 MCS is at 80,000+ miles and within the six year, 100,000 mile extended coverage.

I had a bone dry coolant expansion tank topped off yesterday by my local mechanic who was performing the annual NYS Safety inspection - which I passed. He said he noticed a "trickle" leak from somewhere on the engine block and recommends I get it to the dealer right away for repair. I called Prestige in northern NJ and left a message with them yesterday. We'll see.
