R50/53 50 MINIs On A Ferry. Unbelievable Photos!
The Wolfe Island Canada MINI Meet was a weekend full of amazing photo ops.
The most incredible pictures are of our 50 MINIs monopolizing the Wolfe Islander car ferry prior to the start of our MOTOR The Island Tour.
The Southern Ontario MINI Club brought great participation to the event. And they've started a MINI Meet Gallery on the Club site.
Just vist The Club's site, click on "Gallery" on the left and choose "MINI Meet".

It's always impressive to see so many MINIs jammed into a small area like a ferry. I wonder what the ferry people think of that. It's like an army or motorcycle gang. Maybe we should all get a MINI club jacket. Yup- time to start coming up with some designs.
Thanks for the pictures- makes us want to come join you. It's inspirational.

The ferry deck hands loved the MINIs. They took pictures, helped get the Neons off the boat(!) and had a great fun attitude with us. They gave a number of our participants their addresses so we could send them pictures.
They even called ahead to friends and family to come down to the dock to see what was coming off the boat. We had quite the greeting!

The Wolfe Islander ferry holds 55 "normal" cars. We had 50 MINIs and about half a dozen "civilians".
A few cars were jockeyed on the dock to keep our pack together. We were in the boat lineup at 12.15 pm for the 2 o'clock boat. It irked a few local Island residents who were trying to get home.
Oh well. The boat is part of the provincial hiway system. If you're on, you're on!
They'll know to pay attention to our event posters next year!

We didn't have 50 cars, but back in July the DC Metro group took White's Ferry across the Potomac from VA to MD for a picnic:
