2009 MCS Owner's Manuals in Softcopy?

HI All,

I have an '09 MCS with Nav being built. To help pass the time, I thought I'd start reading the various manuals. Unfortunately, the MINI OL only has '07 manuals available. I know there are differences - probably not a ton, but some.

Does anyone know where I can find the softcopy of the '09 manuals so I won't have to wait for delivery?

TIA!

Your dealer? Back in 07 my dealer handed me a manual the day I ordered the car.

Why can't they just post manuals in .PDF format so everyone could read? I am sure bandwidth would not be a problem.

MINI does exactly that in the Owner's Lounge. The problem is, there's often a significant delay before the current model year's manual gets posted.

Thanks for the suggestions. My closest dealer is about 90 miles away so I can't just drive down there to get a copy even if they offered. I doubt they'll mail me a set, either. Softcopies would be best but as was mentioned above, the OL doesn't even have the '08 manuals available and we're already into the '09's. Guess I'll just wait until the car arrives and then read the hardcopy.

Or in the case of the 08s, they never got put up on the OL (at least not last time I looked and its down now so I can't check). You had to make do with the 07 one, the differences are very small, but I couldn't do intermittent wipers without reading the 08 hardcopy.

I must be looking in the wrong part of OL because all I could find was an unofficial manual for 07 that was not a real owners manual.

Sorry about the above dead link, it was from Motoring File Download section (scroll down and it is on right panel).

I downloaded the full manual from the MINI lounge in August. It was dated November 2007, so I believe it was for the 2008 models. I can't find it in the lounge now.

If you want to PM me, I can send you the PDF file as an attachment. It has most of the info (very few changes) that's in the manual that came with my 2009 MCS.

Hi Dan,

Please send me a softcopy and PM me if necessary. I tried PMing you but the system claims that you are not set up to receive PMs.

Thanks,
Scott
