I decided not to get the front fog lights on my MC. I was wondering what that is going to look like? Will there be black holes or nothing at all?

I wish those were DRL's, the headlights are your DRL's though.

 

They do go on with the first headlight setting, though. They look kinda cool at dusk/dawn like that.

I agree 100%. I just decided to activate my DRL's full time now. People just don't see me otherwise

 

Strange -- when I look closely at the parking lights above, it almost seems as though the bottom half (below the functional light) is an opaque black plastic piece. Is that the case?

On my lights, this bottom half is a semi-transparent "clear" plastic piece. So, the whole circle almost looks as though it could illuminate, even though only the top portion does.

Is yours a late 2007 build? Mine's Feb 2007, I think.

Yeah, I've seen that diagram before (especially as I'm currently seeking to replace the bottom half of my passenger side light due to a lame encounter with a rock). Your picture just looked a bit different than mine -- I guess my eyesight is going more quickly than I thought. :P
