Just curious, from what I've read so far is that Mini is resolving this issue in the US free of charge?

Here in Canada it'll cost me over 400 bucks...

Anything I can use in my defence to have them take care of the issue..

i do have the same problem that my air bag light is onn, and i been driving my MCS 03 85000k for 2 years now and never got is fix since, here in toronto canada they are charging us $500 to repair it.. did check the website and that was refferd to and that didint help at all but, gave me some information. my question is is there a way here in canada get it escalted and have it repaird without being charge $500.

2nd question is i know its dum to ask but, will ask anyways, is my air bag will diploy eventhough my airbag light is onn and what are the chances that air bag will go off accidentaly with the air bag light is onn?..

 

It was my understanding that when the airbag light is on, none of your airbags will deploy. Maybe the dealer was trying to scare me into getting the work done, but it was free warranty work anyway.

It does seem like that is a US warranty only. You might try driving to a US dealer and see if they can do the work. Don't volunteer any information about where you live or bought the car.

 

Does anyone know the fault code for the wiring harness issue? I have a 2002 MC with the Airbag light on bright red, full time, with a Fault Code of 240. I am told it is the Multi Restraint System ECU ($500 part, 3 hours of labor to replace).
