You win!!! You don't mean that your dealer is 2500 miles away do you?

Oh yes I do! We are driving from Oregon to Tennessee (Roadshow MINI) to pick up Lemon Drop. Of course we are taking 2 weeks off to do this and take a well deserved vacation. Including seeing the Grand Canyon, Vegas, Graceland, Rock N Roll Museum and some more stuff I can't remember...oh yeah and the In Laws. LOL Can't forget them! Should be lots of fun.

Cheers!

I live in Houston and have ordered my MINI from MINI Center in San Antonio. That is about a 450 mile round trip, i have been there twice already, and i still need to pick it up. 'Ellie' arrives late December (PW/B '04 MC). So i get to drive a total of 1350 miles for my MINI. I am the first official member of the 'Can't Wait For December' club!

Flew to New York last October and drove it back, 3100 miles of driving....got on the freeway with 11 miles on it, never missed a beat. Just had the JCW kit installed at 12000 miles. Nothing has ever gone wrong with this car except the coolant tank was seeping so they replaced it when they installed the JCW......love this car!!!

Man, I drove all the way from downtown Phoenix to pick up my MINI in Scottsdale.
That was like 15 miles across town. With traffic factor, it was like 25 miles!

However, I did have to wait 25 months to get mine. It would have been a mere 24 if not for the dock strike in California. Placed on the waiting list in September of 2000, and picked him up on Halloween 2002. So that makes up for the mileage, right?

I drove from Colorado to Roadshow MINI in Memphis, although it was not a round trip as I was moving to Birmingham Alabama at the time.

Good Luck and enjoy the trip! Make sure to enjoy the sites on the way there and back!

Hey Yucca! So you are familiar w/the route eh? Yes we do plan on enjoying the sites. Who was your salesperson at Roadshow?

-MiniMac- GEEZ I think you win for the PATIENCE award! Yikes...and Bruceink, we thought about flying out, then driving back, but we couldn't fit everyone/thing in the MINI and also wanted to take our time breaking her in. Glad to hear you haven't had any problems. Sounds like you had fun and still are (as us MC owners know all too well!)
