Nice work all around. I think two (and I'm not saying which two...) really have captured the concept "perspective" in a creative way. Well done!

Agh, I voted for the wrong one! But the one I like is winning, so, it's all good.

There's some real talent on this forum!

I chose #16 because:

1. It's a reflection of the MINI in the ROAD, where the MINI really shines.

2. The ripples make it look like a watercolor painting.

3. The whole car is not visible; it just gives you enough to know what it is.

4. The photographer displayed a creative approach to capturing his or her MINI's essense, without hammering you over the head with it!

There are so many excellent photos, that it was difficult to decide on one over another. Several are worthy of accolades. Nice work, folks!

Great photos!

I always try to think about two things when voting:

1) Does the photo capture the theme, and
2) Could the photo stand alone as a photograph, ignoring that it is about a Mini/MINI. I.e. which of these photos could I frame and send to someone that isn't "into" MINI Coopers.

This second point sometimes make me select a photo that I find appealing in a general way, even though another shot more clearly represents the theme.

What was the theme, anyway? The photos don't appear to have anything in common other than involving MINIs in some fashion.

The theme was PERSPECTIVE and that word could be interpreted as you wish.

'Perspective' should be the criteria upon which the photos are judged.

Number 5 clearly shows perspective in a classic way with perspective lines and vanishing point. And the MINI appears at the vanishing point. Creative, not cliched and technically very good as well. Nice.

Number 1 shows a MINI from a very low vantage point, as in from the floor while the car is on a hoist. Different perspective. Also creative and technically fine. Nice.

I can see where you wouldn't get 'perspective' from some. I don't either. Nice photos, but the 'perspective' concept in some is a bit of a stretch. I was surprised we didn't see photos from the driver's perspective or from a bird's eye view, etc.

I only asked what the theme was because I'm coming late to the party and didn't know who set the criteria or in what thread it was promulgated. Thanks for the clarification!

I'd like to offer my own pix when the time comes. Hopefully by then, I'll be aware of the contest rules and the theme that has been decided upon.

That's why the title of the thread is "September // Photo Poll // Perspective". Perspective is the theme.

And the entry Discussion thread is still hanging around September // Photo Topic // Perspective. They have threads like that every month. You can look up the topic by searching for "topic".

Oh well, I came equal last. Lack of inspiration, and they closed the place I really wanted to take he photo from, killed mine. Though the other last place one was one of my favorites (#9), I might have voted for it.

Gotta go for "10" ten

Excellent photograph of what Mini's do best. What could be better then the twistiest street in America. I really wish I was there.
Yep, Gotta be "10" for me.
