Ok, I know, I know, I'm a ______________ (fill in you favorite derogatory adjective here)...

It's just been that busy on planet Bob recently...and I'm not talking about Uranus...

So, Rally in the Valley, 2008 style it is. Saturday, October 11. Here's what I suggest...for any/all that want to meet at the usual & customary (makes me sound like a lawyer, eh) meeting spot of Panera, I say DO IT!!! 9AM, coffee, danish, whatever in hand...take your time, fill up, use the facilities and then drive on over to the Winking Lizard Independence for a pre-rally meeting at 11AM (when their doors open). We'll kick off the rally at 11:30AM, and hopefully, you'ns will look for clues and not just speed through. If so, it should be ~90 minutes (or more) of good rally fun. The drive ends at another meeting spot, and from there, any/all that are going to the clambake should have plenty of time.

I know that I have to work that night, so clambake is out for me.

 

Moose and I are planning on meeting up with everyone at Panera that morning to say hi then heading home to set up and pick up the bake...since Bob can't make it, can someone please give him some pumkin roll for me (don't worry Becca, I was going to make the first rolls of the season for the bake, so there will be plenty there! ) ?? The clams are going in at 4 pm, so we should be eating about 6 or 6:30. so no big hurry to get to Mentor!! Relax and enjoy the outing!! I hope someone takes pics on the outing....it should be SO pretty there that time of year!!!

Sorry the clam bake ended up being the same day as a BRM drive...it was one of 2 days my parents could come (gotta have the cranky German there! ) and I opted for the earlier date hoping for better weather...if you want to come, send me your email so I can shoot out the order form! I am hoping to have the order forms/$ back from everyone who wants to come by 10/4...

10:30 Leave for drive
DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE
After drive return to Perry get girls off to Homecoming Dance.
Clam bake
Get girls from Dance (if I cannot find anyone to pick them up for me.)

Bob and I are doing a dry run on the drive Tuesday night so if he pulls a Bob I can be his stunt man.

 

Unfortunately, I think tonight will be ANYTHING but a DRY run!

 

And Bob pulling a Bob is for a whole different forum other than NAM!!!

BUT, he has to work until 5 am the night before and asked me to call him at 8:30 am to wake him up. You bet I will but if anyone else has his cell (I'm not giving it out) it might help to call him after 8:30 for moral support.

BTW, I drove Jon's car. FREEKIN" KICK A**!!!!!

 

So far the weather forecast is supposed to be nice...a bit cloudy but warmer and otherwise decent. I wish we could go on the drive (in the Z car if the clutch line didn't spring a leak )...should be so pretty...someone take pics and show me! But we will be at Panera in the AM and see who ever goes there!

I'll be at Panera's at 9am to meet up with anyone there before heading to to the Lizard.

As I mentioned earlier...if anyone is interested in a little afternoon fall photoshoot before the clambake, we can scout around for a nice scenic area and I'll bring all my equipment. I'm not very familiar with the area, but I know it's beautiful

 

Oh yeah...one seemingly VERY IMPORTANT note...

BRING A CO-PILOT!!! You will be driving, stopping, searching, writing, getting lost, etc!!!

Bring a cell phone with camera or a camera too!!!

NO GPS!!!
