I know this post is old, but I wonder are there still lubbockites that look at this website? I go to school here and have an '05 blue/black mini JCW. I've been interested in getting some kind of group going, any other interests?

The Aggieland Mini Club is rockin. Once you get going, maybe we can have a friendly rivalry. Maybe when ever we play eachother in football we can roadtrip together.

cool!!

Ya that would be awesome! I was gonna head down that way for this years A&M and Tech game but didn't have a ticket so I didn't go. But that would give me and the rest of us the excuse to go anyway!! I've been looking to do some driving with a mini group (I think it would be a blast). Do you think anyone there knows of some people here who would be interested in forming a group? Maybe you can spread the word. I'm debating on ideas on how to get people here interested. There really are a lot of Mini's in Lubbock, just got to get em in a group!

Well I have just been keeping a bunch of fliers in my mini and every time i see one in down i put a flyer on it. We have a facebook group but thats about it. I will ask around if any of our members knows any tech coopers. Other than flyers, i cant really think of anything else. They have been working kind of ok.

I'm in the El Paso area and my club, New Mexico MINI Motoringhttp://www.nmmini.org/), is based in Albuquerque. That is close to 300 miles away if I want to socialize with my clubmates. Albuquerque is about 322 miles away from Lubbock, not too much more than my drive.

I think I will try doing flyers like you said. That's one of the ideas I had been tossing around. If I can find a few others around town here to help that would be great too.

Ya I think I've heard about Chase. If he's the one I'm thinking of he's like the 'MINI' guy of Lubbock. I know he's seen me around town but I've never met him.

I'll check the New Mexico, I know that's where I'll be taking my car when it needs serious work. However, I really would like something smaller and around this area. I've got weekend/monthly meets in mind, just to hang out, kinda like AggieMini11's got going. ... Hey (just got an idea) that would be pretty cool though to every once in a while have the Lubbock group drive over to Albuquerque for events and stuff going on!

Keep the ideas new people coming! I appreciate your help!

Well, it looks like our Lubbock Mini group has a population of 2 now! It's slowly working it's way up! I think we'll get more when I hand out flyers (which I haven't done yet). That may have to wait until after Christmas break. I'll keep you guys posted! Still looking for more MINI's in Lubbock!

Well you are close to our number. we have 4. it kinda sucks. I think people go to our facebook group and are turned away because we only have 4. We have plans to drive in the College Station Christmas parade to get our name out but im not sure yet. We are doing a drive this saturday we well. Get on metroplex mini's website and post there. lots of texas minis are on there and im sure they can help. The houston group is helping us out a lot.

4? I was expecting more than that to be honest, but my numbers may end up being around that too. We'll see next semester when things REALLY get into gear!

The Christmas parade sounds like fun, I'm sure you'll get a lot of attention at least! I don't know that we have a Christmas parade, but I know we have a football homecoming parade during football season that I'm planning to have our group do next year. Where are yall driving this Saturday out of curiosity?

I'll be sure to check metroplex mini any place will help find more peeps.

Haha, ya I NEVER see you. Don't know why that is. But I was driving around tonight looking at minis on campus and I think I saw yours! I mean I'm pretty positive it's yours!! I mean, really who else in Lubbock has a roll cage in there mini! That's awesome man, you'll have to show me sometime. We should definitely meet sometime, I'll keep my eye out.

Oh and about the mini enthusiast. I've got another guy that wants to be in the group, so if you want to be part of it then that would be awesome! I mean three is a great number to start with! I'm sure we'd love to have you.

Ya I'm thinking that might be like our group. But you know, I'm really ok with it. Just something that we can meet up every now and then go drive and have fun! That's what the MINI life is all about!! Just having fun...and motoring of course!!
edit: haha, I just made your group grow to 6!

Just found this.. I'm in Lubbock. Not a mini owner yet, but I plan on being a classic owner in Lubbock VERY SOON.... If the funds pan out.

Either way, I'm an enthusiast so I'd like to come by and take a look at all of them if you guys do get together. Chase.. I still love your car man. lol. This is Cameron from WTI (Orange Daytona).
