I just picked up a 2006 MCS.
it has a 6 speed trans, leather, hids, sport suspension, LSD, and many other goodies.
I am in love with car it is BLue with a silver top. I just got 5% tints all around so it looks very good right now. I will get pics up tomorrow.
I traded in my Subaru Impreza and got a great deal for the mini.
The car had 20k miles on it and i paid only 25,000 for it

Welcome, since you have silver top, I can suspect you have the "Space Blue" one, right? (There are several shades of blue, some of which have been discontinued and or with limited availability, as the "Space Blue" itself, making the cars kinda rare).
I have read (here on NAM somewhere) you can provide your VIN to either a nearby MINI dealer, or MINI USA (via phone), and they'll look it up in the MINI database and tell you what options your car was delivered with. Oh, and congrats on your MINI and welcome to NAM!

I think you can jack up the car while it is in gear and then turn one of the front wheels. If it has an LSD, they both should move the same way. If it is the regular open diff, then they will go opposite. I am 85% sure of this.

I guess not but see the 2009 starting at 22K, just seems high forgive me not use to mini prices yet
The fun-to-drive, quality, unexpected practicality, and (perceived?) fuel mileage all conspire to make the Mini unusually pricey as a used car. There are a number of owners who have actually built equity in their car as it depreciates much slower than payments accumulate. Find another new car that is true about!
Ah yes... but where can you buy a Mini for its list price? Most have A)dealer markup and B)expensive option packages... remember that the base price is just that... the price for a model with none of the options.

Sold it at a dealer for 1500.00 more then i paid

which was a amazing deal, just not good with pricing minis yet
Yep - Mercedes depreciation is crazy. If I were in the market for a sedan, a 3-year old S500 would be the deal of the century. (~ $85k new, but you can get them used in the mid-to-high 30's without even searching.)
Took delivery of my JCW last week. It was not a penny over MSRP.
