conti comfort kit ?

I'm thinking about going with regular all-season tires instead of the run-flats. I have a new S, so I'm concerned about a flat. I see where TR has a "Conti comfort kit" for sale, and am wondering if this is the answer to a flat, instead of ordering a donut tire.

My question is...will the sealant from the conti kit gum up my TMPS and make it so the tire pressure light will stay on constantly.

Anyone used the conti kit? Anyone from TR know if the comfort kit will render the TMPS system void?

I just want to know the best way to deal with it, if I have a flat

I bought a Conti Comfort Kit when I switched to non-runflats on my 07 MCS. To date, I have not had occasion to use the kit to repair a flat on my car (now 16K miles), but I did use the kit to fix a flat on my neighbor's Toyota Camry. Despite my advice that he should take the car to a tire shop for a proper repair right away, my neighbor is still running on the Conti kit repair 9 months later with no problem, which suggests that the Conti kit latex-based sealant is quite effective. In addition, the Conti sealant is said to be more benign on wheels and less of a hassel for tire repar shops than some other sealant formulations. Tire Rack sells a convenient sealant refill cartridge for the Conti Comfort kit. Overall I'm quite happy with the unit. I carry a Dyna Plug kit as back-up insurance, along with my cellphone. This setup is far more space-efficient than carrying a spare, and I think it will do the job in the vast majority of cases.

Yes- using the sealant will distroy the sensor in that wheel.

Use a plug kit if you can locate the puncture, and sealant if you can't find it.
Then have the tire fixed as soon as you can.
