ISO: MK3 brake proprotioning valve

Hello all -

Looking for a brake proportioning valve for a 72 Mini LHD. At least, I think thats the part. Its on the firewall, right side of the car (left as you look at the firewall) and has brake lines running in and out of it. Should be a prop valve right? The MiniMania parts fiche is not particularly helpful in IDing this part.

Apparently they are NLA and mine is leaking all over the damn place and has been for some time. I just got the car and am working on the various mechanical maladies and this one is the most pressing currently.

So. Where do I get one? I am open to used parts as long as they are useable. Its not like the car is driven daily, just once a week or so and I'd like to A)stop safely and B)not erode ALL the paint off it. Thanks in advance for your help getting me on the right track!

Where/why is it leaking? The valve should have an "o' ring on it. Maybe that's all you need to source?

Look on Minimania.com

Start cruising eBay UK. Lot's of odd part show up there.

Try Sommerford Minis.

a pic would help.
If you need a proportioning valve wilwood makes a universal adjustable one.

Pics coming soon. I considered the Wilwood one and the price is certainly right... but took the advice of GRM on the topic of adjustable prop valves. The advice was essentially: "installing an adjustable bias valve is a guarantee it will no longer be biased correctly" lol!
