Wheel well material not staying under the fender clip

Is anyone else having issues with the wheel well material warping, and therefore not staying in the slot that is on the inside of the plastic fender trim pieces?

I am having this issue on all 4 wheel wells, especially the pasenger side, and I am not sure what to do about it.

I can use my fingers to push them back up into the groove, but as soon as I drive it they just pop back out again.

Do me a favor and run your fingers along the inside of your plastic fender trimp pieces, and report back here if you can push your wheel well material back up into the slot. Or if it was not where it should be when you tried this.

Thank you for your time, folks!

Romi had one that was warped. The dealer replaced it and there has not been an issue since.

I have one wheel well with this problem and pushing up on the material did not help. I have a 2007 MCS.

Same here on an 08. Apparently one whole year wasn't enough for BMW to recognize and fix.

3 MINIs in our family have had this problem as well as the fender trim clips breaking leaving the trim hanging off. It always seems to be caused by driving through puddles - I guess the pressure of the water causes it. In the UK it's not covered by warranty so I fix it myself, is a real pain though as it keeps happening

I have had the same problem on both fender wells. Dealer repaired it and now I drive home 4 hours with a lot of rain and I noticed the passenger side is loose at the backside of the passenger front wheel well again. The clip is still in the fender but just came loose from the moulding. Probably hit a puddle. This isn't acceptable. I just I will tell the dealer again when I take it in for service 4 hours away. I just pushed it back in at the bottom but can I reclip it myself.
