I have a loud rattling noise from the clutch area when I start the car. As soon as I push in the clutch pedal or once the car is warmed up it goes away. I’ve herd of a dual fly wheel problem with 2006 mini’s is this the infamous problem ? I only have 12000 miles on board
Can anyone help me out

I am having the same problem with mine. I just called the dealer to try and schedule an appointment for repair/replacement and they're telling me it's a wear issue and is not covered... I'm going to try calling back later and referencing the service bulletin, hopefully that works...

 

That's a BS answer you got from them. The linings are a wear item. The engage/disengage functionality is not.

 

Just out of interest, what service bulletin is being referenced here? Anyone have a copy?
