Sun shade, Floor mats ....

So I picked up my new MINI on Thursday and I have had a lot of fun with it. I'm looking for floor mats and sun shade for it. Any recommendations? Thanks!

I like Coco mats. They will last forever and don't show dirt.

Try Morristown Mini accessories website. They have almost everything OEM for 20% off. Don't know about shipping though.

Many people recommend the sunshade for the sunroof (I believe that's what you mean by sunshade) by Stratmosphere. Check it out. http://www.stratmosphere.com/mini_interior.htm

Cheers,

If you are looking for All Weather Floor Mats then I would check out www.weathertech.com. They are molded and keep a great deal of water and dirt off of the carpeting.

As far as the Sun Shade I have no recommendations.

Good Luck!!

Congrats on your MINI! I would also suggest you get RUBBER floor mats (links some of the other kids gave you work) -- keeps the floor nice, regardless of weather and how you use the MINI. But don't forget boot mats! I had a seat-back mat for my 2004 model that I just moved into my 2007 MINI. Works great, especially for the dogs.

The sunroof shades Dinlaka suggested work GREAT. I also have the thick folding sunshade sold at most dealers, and MINI MANIA (out motoring? can't remember which vendor, but they're on NAM). That really keeps the cab cool.

Tint

Have some one tint the sunroof with a dark film. I also had a lunate section of 15% tint applied to the upper section of my wind shield. The tinters lowered the sunshades, marked the lowest point of these on the windshield, and then applied the tint. The effect is dramatic and very pleasing.

I've used several after-market sun shades and none of them did a very good job because they fit very well.

I broke down and bought the MINI sun shade and it works better than any shade I've tried.

i don't know what i'd do without my rubber floor mats.

I just pull them out and wash them whenever I wash my car.

nenj,
You could either tint the sunroof a very dark shade or install a roof graphic over it or get the removable sunroof shades like I have from minspeed.net for $35.00.

The MINI rubber floor mats protect the carpet but they move a bit and will get dull and unattractive with time. I kept the rubber boot mat and the back seat mats but replaced the front mats with cocoa mats, which look better and stay in position.

I have to agree with the above. I have the mats and I always have to pull them back when I get in the car. They're 8 months old and I can see the wear starting.

They do however keep all the Florida rain off of the carpet.

Brand new MINI? I just got the OEM sunshade and OEM carpet mats and have been very happy with both. Did this on my '03, did the same on my '07.

Your dealership didn't even throw in floor mats?

I bought mine. Some dealers throw in goodies, some don't.
