R50/53 Well, she's here.
Picked up the S from Fort Lauderdale MINI.
I like the way it came out. Not happy with the idiot who prepped it. I told the dealership I didnt even want them to wash the car, that I would do everything. They said that they have to at least wash it but they wont wax or polish it. They promised me that they would have their best guy clean the car. Apparently he does all their black cars.
They should fire him.
It looks like he washed it with a brillo pad. I know that black is a hard color to maintain nicely but the swirl scratches this knucklehead put in it are ridiculous. A gas station automatic car wash wouldnt have been as bad. There were also a few scuff marks from were the dork scraped his boots on the door panel getting in and out of the car.
My saleschick is really cool as hell and was willing to do anything to make me happy but I figured if this idiot cant even wash the car right....Im gonna trust him to polish out the swirls? No thank you....I'll do it myself.
To top things off, it absolutely poured down rain on the way home. I was hoping that this car would never see rain. Oh well.
I guess I'll be spending all day tommorow buffing the swirls and applying my Zaino. I'll chalk it up to bonding time with me and the little tike. Then shes off to the garage to be car covered until the monsoon season stops in South Florida.
Heres some pics.

cool mini, its nice and dark! The guy who washed my mini at the dealer didnt even wash it, it looked like he just went over it with a california duster, there were fingerprints and smudges all over the car, cuz mine was in the showroom.
Pun-- Looks great... congrats! NO ONE will ever take as much care as you will... Back in the days when attendants pumped the gas I always pumped my own and kept those animals away from MY CAR! Anyway, here's to many sunny days!
I really would like to but I dont wanna make my brand new car an R&D platform to develope turbo systems on. This isnt my primary means of transportation but I still dont want to break and or blow things up on it.
I did that with one of my bikes and I hardly get to ride it. Its always in the shop or on the dyno.

Thanks guys.
As far as the stumble, Im not sure. Ive felt a slight dip in throttle response sometimes after fully releasing the clutch in first gear. Its more of a blip than a stumble. Its gone in a 1/4 second.
I'll get a little seat time tommorow and really analyze the cars driving characteristics.
